（1）严格控制时间：由于两道题之间的间隔时间只有15秒，严格控制好时间成为通向成功之路的重要因素之一。考生最好在未开始听正式考题前抓紧时间把第一题供选择的4句话先看一遍，带着问题听，力争主动。应争取在10秒种内选出答案，抽5秒钟先看下一题的4个备选答案，做到开头主动，处处主动。
（2）万一其中一题未听清楚，切勿慌乱：应稳定情绪，将猜出的那个句子的字母涂黑（将印有A、B、C、D字母你认为正确的一个椭圆形中的字母涂黑），千万不要空着。迅速先看下一题4个供选择的句子答案，然后认真听下一题。
（3）应特别注意：正确答案与听到的那句话不仅意思最接近，而且语法词汇和声音都可能很相似：但是，如果供选择的其中一句话在某一些方面与听到的那句话个似，而意思却不尽相同时，那么，它肯定不是正确答案。
（4）应把注意重点放在听到的句子和看到的句子（A、B、C、D中其中一句）意思相同或相类似这一点上：切勿只因其中某句话在语法、词汇或声音与听到的句子相类似而上当。
（5）应抓住重要字眼：在遇到供选择的4句话都较长，要在规定时间内念完4句话再听录音，时间往往来不及。因此，抓住每句话的重要字眼（动词、名词、形容词），重复的部分可略去不念，把握住每句话的基本意思，对选择正确答案非常关键。
（6）熟悉托福听力中常用成语、片语：托福听力中使用的成语、片语不少。它们一般由很简单的词（通常是一个不及物动词和一个介词或副词）组成。它们往往离原词义较远，有的还不止一个意思，有的意思甚至我达10个左右（例如：Pick
up——捡起、拿起、购买、收集、派（车、船）接（人）、增加、学会、恢复（健康）、挣钱等。熟练掌握常用英语成语、片语，对听力取得较好成绩有重大意义。（请参考刘毅编的《托福600分成语》）
（7）熟悉听力考虑常见句型：托福听力Part A的考题中涉及的句型类别繁多，不易逐一归纳概括。不过，常见的句型有：1）否定句，2）感叹句，3）反意疑问句，4）比较句，5）虚拟句，6）带成语的句子，7）带数字的句子。下面是近年托福听力试题中Part
A常见的句型：
1）否定句：
Voice: Actually I don't think Jane is busy now.
(A) I believe Jane's free at the moment.
(B) Jane often disagrees with me.
(C) I wasn't really thinking about Jane just now.
(D) Jane's business isn't really now.

2）感叹句
Voice: What a great idea!
(A) What's the idea.
(B) Was it a great deal of work.
(C) It's an excellent idea.

3）反意疑问句
